Payment Policy
Payments may be made by Zelle, check, or cash. Zelle, the preferred form of payment, is a Bank-To-Bank payment method similar to Paypal or Venmo. It is probably available from your bank already. See www.Zellepay.com for more information. Please send payment via Zelle to AcornTutoring@gmail.com.
Paying for on-going weekly sessions: Please pre-pay 10 or more sessions at a time or monthly if you are more comfortable with that. The purpose of this policy is to minimize the number of payments we have to handle. Unused balance will be returned to you. Payment with Zelle is highly encouraged.

Schedule Change and Cancellation Policy
In case of illness or emergency please send a text to your tutor directly. Please be on time for your appointments. If you are running late, please send a text to your tutor with an approximate arrival time.
Your single or on-going weekly appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. This reservation prevents that time from being available for us to help another student. Please respect your commitment to yourself and to your tutor. It is difficult and time-consuming for our staff to deal with excessive schedule changes and cancellations, particularly on short notice. We always appreciate notice of schedule changes as early as possible. However, we also understand that sometimes emergencies do come up. With this in mind, Acorn Tutoring has the following schedule change and cancellation policy:
All schedule changes and cancellations must be made via email or text to establish the time of notice. Schedule changes or cancellations made 48 hours or more before your appointment time will incur no charges. Schedule changes or cancellations associated with school holidays must be made at least one week in advance, otherwise, the full fee is charged. Schedule changes or cancellations, for any reason, made less than 48 hours before your appointment time will be charged the full fee for the session unless it is due to an emergency or serious or contagious illness, in which case 50% of the full fee will be charged. Students with excessive schedule changes or cancellations may be asked to give up their on-going weekly appointment time slot. Also, please do not assume our appointment is canceled because your school is not in session.
